Museum plans program on Prohibition at Oswego Brewing Company

Jeff and Marcea Ross of Lake Zurich visit with Little White School Museum Manager Anne Jordan during a presentation she made last year about crime in Oswego in the 1920s and '30s during an event at Oswego Brewing Company. The museum is planning an event called “History Happy Hour – Prohibition” coming up at Oswego Brewing.

Little White School Museum in Oswego will host “History Happy Hour – Prohibition” at the Oswego Brewing Company, 61 Main St. in downtown Oswego, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and again at the same time on Aug. 24.

At the events, museum staff will talk about how beer drinking–and bootlegging in and around Oswego became so popular so quickly during Prohibition.

The museum is a joint project of the Oswegoland Park District and the not-for-profit Oswegoland Heritage Association.
