The bet365 bonus code CTNEWS unlocks a generous first time offer for new users on Thursday.

New players to the international sports betting giant can get $200 in bonus bets with a small qualifying wager. That promotion is valid for players in four — Colorado, Ohio, New Jersey and Virginia — of the five bet365 states.

In the fifth, Iowa, users can get up to $365 in bonus bets as part of an exclusive launch in the Hawkeye State. Both promotions use the same bonus code and are structured the same so the bonus bet value is entirely dependent on where users are wagering from.

Unlike many other sportsbook welcome offers, the bet365 new customer promotion doesn’t require a user’s first bet to settle as a loss, so bettors can get their bonus bets as soon as the qualifying wager settles.

Players in Colorado, Ohio, New Jersey and Virginia can get up to $200 in bonus bets once their $1 qualifying wager settles, either as a loss or a win.

From there, bettors will need to make a small deposit of at least $10 and place a cash qualifying wager of $1. Critically, only real money wagers will trigger this promotion as any bets placed with credits of any kind will not initiate this offer.

Once that first bet settles, either as a loss or a win, users will get their bonus bets. These bonus bets can be used for any additional wager on the bet365 platform but cannot be withdrawn or cashed out.

Similarly, any bonus bets earned from this promotion are only valid for one wager a piece and thus will not be returned in the event of a successful wager.

For example, if a bettor were to place $100 cash wager on the Pirates at +135 against the Marlins. If Pittsburgh wins, users will collect $135 in profit, keep their $100 stake and collect $200 in bonus bets.

However, if a bettor placed the same value bet, using credits, on the Pirates and Pittsburgh won, that bettor would only collect $135 in profit. They would notably not get their stake returned or collect the bonus bets.

One critical note, only wagers with -500 odds or longer are eligible for this promotion. So a moneyline wager with -250 odds will qualify while a futures wager with -700 odds would not.
