Hendon Hooker led this Tennessee team through the SEC gauntlet before a season-ending knee injury. This means this game will now feature two quarterbacks that were not expected to start this season.

Clemson has not lived up to the expectations of the Dabo Sweeney era this season. The defense has played decent but the offense has been unable to play consistently from game to game.

Due to quarterback play, Clemson should cover as a touchdown favorite. DJ Uiagalelei has transferred and freshman Cade Klubnik gets the start. In the ACC Championship, Klubnik hit 20 of 24 attempts and the Tigers beat North Carolina.

For the Volunteers, Joe Milton III gets another start. He has seven TDs and no interceptions while taking over for Hooker.

Consider taking the under as well — 63.5 would be interesting if Hooker were healthy but with a backup quarterback playing, the under is likely.

Sugar Bowl

Bryce Young and Will Anderson did not opt out of the Sugar Bowl. This has caused the spread to stay at -5.5 and Alabama is a good value to cover.

Kansas State shocked TCU in the Big 12 Championship and is coming off a successful season. However, it feels like Alabama was two plays away from being a playoff team.

Alabama’s two losses came from a two-point conversion and a last-second field goal. Nick Saban will prepare this team to make a statement that Alabama can compete with any team this season.
