National Championship: TCU vs. Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs were favored to appear in the national championship and be the first team to repeat since 2011-12 Alabama. Conversely, the TCU defeated Michigan as 7.5-point underdogs for a chance to win its first national championship since 1938.

TCU has played the role of underdog almost all season ― unranked for half the season and discounted in spreads. This is important to note because TCU is 10-3-1 against the spread this season.
