15-year-old boy wounded in Roseland neighborhood Friday morning, cops say

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting while he was walking early Friday morning in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 5 a.m., the teenage boy was walking in the first block of West 111th Street when someone inside a vehicle opened fired striking him to the right arm and abdomen.

The boy was dropped off at Roseland Community Hospital, but was later taken to UChicago Medicine where he was listed in fair condition, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
