Fanatics Sportsbook: Get the beta app in MA, MD, OH and TN, plus $200 for weekend wagers

St. Louis Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt practises during a training session ahead of the baseball match against Chicago Cubs at the MLB World Tour London Series, in London Stadium.

Fanatics, the sports apparel giant, is rolling out its beta sportsbook app in four states. You’ll get $200 in bonus bets when you sign up.

In addition to this current offer, Fanatics Sportsbook is slated to expand into an additional three states by football season as part of the PointsBet U.S. deal, should it close. DraftKings has made a competing offer for PointsBet.

While the current Fanatics Sportsbook promotion doesn’t require a promo code, desktop users will need to complete a brief survey to get a downloadable version of the app. Users claiming this offer from their iOS device will not be asked to complete this survey.

Desktop users can click this link or the module below to get to the survey, after which point they’ll be able to wager on Fanatics as they would on any other sportsbook.

Early access for Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio and Tennessee

The Fanatics Sportsbook new customer offer is structured as a “bet and get” which indicates that users can get a specific bonus bet value, in this case $200, if they place a small qualifying wager.

For the Fanatics offer, users need to place a $5 cash wager and once that settles, they’ll get $200 in bonus bets.

This is a stark departure from many other new customer offers that require a user’s first bet to settle as a loss before they can get any bonus bets.

Since this promotion doesn’t require a promo code, players can easily claim this offer by clicking either of the modules above and signing up for a Fanatics Sportsbook account.

From there, players need to make a deposit of at least $10 into their account and place a small qualifying wager of $5 to trigger this offer. Notably, only cash wagers will trigger this offer so any bets placed using credits will not initiate this offer.

While Fanatics is currently only available in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio and Tennessee there are reports that the new sportsbook plans to expand into three additional states by the end of the Summer of 2023, as part of the PointsBet U.S. acquisition.

How to wager with Fanatics Sportsbook on Saturday

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The Cubs and the Cardinals travel to London for a rivalry showcase on the international stage.

Chicago has played very well lately, going 8-2 over the last 10 games, and are currently 3.5 games back from the division-leading Reds.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are last in the division and nine games back from the Reds.

The Cubs have been getting it done with solid pitching in recent games and they’ll likely have more of that on Saturday with Justin Steele on the mound. He’s gone 7-2 this season with an impressive 2.71 ERA.

He’s been dealing and getting a ton of strikeouts which bodes poorly for a Cardinals team that has lacked patience on offense.

St. Louis will have Adam Wainwright on the mound though. Despite his age, Wainwright has gone 3-1 so far this season. His velocity is definitely down, as expected, but his command is still solid. His 5.57 ERA is a bit misleading because a portion of those runs have come from fielding issues with the Cardinals outfield and infield.

That being said, the Cubs are -130 favorites here with the O/U at 14.5. That total seems too high so bet the under here and, if you’re looking for it, take the Cubs on the ML as they’ll get the win here against their longtime rivals.

Fanatics Sportsbook sign-up information

Signing up with Fanatics is a bit different than other sportsbooks. If users are signing up from a desktop, they’ll need to complete a brief survey — which we’ve linked above — before they can download the app.

However, users who are signing up from a mobile device — either Android or iOS — can simply click either of the modules above to get access to the beta app.

In this instance, the term beta can be slightly misleading as it implies an unfinished product. That is not the case here. You can bet, deposit, and withdraw like any other book.

Once eligible users have completed the survey or downloaded the app, they will need to make a small deposit of at least $10 and place a cash wager of at least $5 to initiate this promotion.

After that cash wager settles, either as a loss or a win, users will get up to $200 in bonus bets.

Critically, only cash wagers will trigger this offer as any bets placed with credits will not qualify for this promotion.

Any bonus bets earned from this promotion cannot be withdrawn or cashed out. Similarly, bonus bets are only valid for one wager each and thus will not be returned in the event of a successful wager.

We’ve outlined all the sign-up steps in the list below for desktop and mobile users.

  • Desktop users will click this link and be directed to a survey if you’re on desktop
  • Once you’ve filled out the survey, you’ll get an exclusive download link for the sportsbook
  • After that, you’ll be prompted to verify your identity, in accordance with Know Your Customer regulations
  • You’ll create your Fanatics account using the same email you used for the survey
  • Users will need to place a $5 cash wager to trigger the promotion
  • Once that wager settles, users will get $200 in bonus bets can simply click the module above and get access to the beta app.
