Bramstedt was arrested in April 2022 on charges he sexually assaulted the victim, who was 17 years old at the time, on multiple occasions at multiple locations in the school between February 2019 and June 2019, the report said. The victim later notified authorities, and a DuPage County Children’s Center investigation was launched.

“Teachers are role models who students look up to and in whom parents place a great amount of trust,” State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. “Mr. Bramstedt abused this position of trust and authority in the worst possible way.”
