Former Chicago Bears defensive end Robert Quinn and his wife, Christina, sold their five-bedroom, 4,300-square-foot house in Lake Forest for $2.4 million on July 7.

Former Chicago Bears defensive end Robert Quinn and his wife, Christina, sold their five-bedroom, 4,300-square-foot house in Lake Forest for $2.4 million on July 7.

Quinn, 33, signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Bears in 2020, and as a Bear broke Hall of Famer and former Super Bowl MVP Richard Dent’s franchise single-season sack record in 2022. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in October. Quinn played in the Eagles’ Super Bowl LVII loss in February and now is a free agent.

In Lake Forest, Quinn and his wife bought the Lake Forest house in July 2021 for $2.12 million through their Elroy Q LLC company. Built in 2020, the Tudor-style house has 5 ½ bathrooms, two fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings on the first floor, a family room with custom built-ins, a library with a coffered ceiling and a marble surround fireplace, a kitchen with a vaulted ceiling and a 3,000-square-foot finished basement with a wet bar.

The house also has a first-floor primary bedroom suite, a heated three-car garage, a slate roof, copper gutters, a brick paver front walk and a brick paver patio, and sits on a 0.57-acre property.

The couple first listed the Lake Forest house in April for $2.59 million. About six weeks later, they went under contract to sell it.

“(They) made a nice profit, and it was in line with the market growth in Lake Forest, so that was good,” listing agent Sarah Lyons of Compass told Elite Street. “The house was new construction and really well-built in east Lake Forest. It’s very hard to find new construction in east Lake Forest. They were really a great family and I think he (Robert Quinn) brought a lot to Chicago. They really loved Chicago.”

The Quinns previously owned a six-bedroom, 9,000-square-foot French Provincial-style mansion in Glencoe that they bought in mid-2020 for $3.5 million and sold in 2021 for the same amount.

The Lake Forest house had a $46,283 property tax bill in the 2022 tax year.

Public records do not yet identify the buyers.
